7 New Square Chambers,

Lincoln's Inn, London

Chambers has specialists who, subject to availability and other necessary and appropriate considerations, are prepared to take on advocacy, advisory or drafting work in any Intellectual Property matter in England or Wales irrespective of the subject matter or the court or tribunal. Members of Chambers will also undertake appropriate work in Europe in the relevant specialist courts or tribunals.

Familiarity with handling technical matters in the context of advocacy, advisory and drafting work in IP matters has meant that Counsel practising from 7 New Square Chambers have been prepared to work on many technical matters which fall outside the general description of IP matters. Historically Counsel from Chambers participated in hearings concerned with the investigation of disasters where significant technical material was to be considered (for example, in relation to passenger aircraft crash investigation hearings). Today, familiarity with technical matters and the handling of such matters in the courts enables Counsel from 7 New Square Chambers to work on technical contract work, particularly in connection with the computer and information technologies industries or other new technologies and areas of engineering.
